Five weeks into the Dutch grow-in
The tank is established enough to stop treating every sparse patch as a problem, but not mature enough to judge the final composition.
The current rescape was started on the 3rd of July 2026, which puts the tank at roughly five weeks. Plant mass is increasing and the early establishment phase is behind it.
The Dutch streets are not yet shaped. A street is a form produced by repeated trimming rather than by planting, so at this stage the layout is closer to a set of plant groups than to the composition it is meant to become.
What the current work is
The priority now is structural trimming and repeatable maintenance rather than moving plants because individual areas still look sparse. Sparseness at five weeks is a stage, not a diagnosis.
The tall rear planting is still being allowed to gain biomass before any final decision about its shape. Cutting for form before there is enough growth to cut is how a Dutch layout loses a season.
The standing PAR survey is complete enough to serve as a baseline, so a repeat after meaningful canopy growth will be a comparison rather than a fresh start. That comparison is the point: readings taken at canopy height during grow-in describe plants that are still short, and they will stop describing them as the stems rise.
