How much does measured light change between substrate and canopy as the scape grows in?
The standing survey was taken with stems short. As they grow, the leaves that matter rise several inches toward the light, so the figure that describes a plant's conditions changes without the fixture changing at all.
Substrate-level PPFD is expected to be lower than the current canopy-level readings, and the difference between substrate and canopy should increase as the stems gain height. Measuring both at the same positions will show how much plant growth alone changes the light environment without any fixture change.
