About Jeremy

Why this exists

Hi, I'm Jeremy.

I have spent more than twenty years working in technology, where complicated systems tend to become understandable only after they begin producing a useful record.

Outside work, that habit found its way into aquascaping.

This is the third layout in the same aquarium, and the first one documented well enough that the next version can inherit more than photographs and memory.

The goal isn’t to prove one method is “right.” It’s to publish transparent observations that help other hobbyists make better decisions.

How the project is run

PAR

Every value published here is measured with an Apogee MQ-510 underwater quantum sensor.

Water chemistry

Logged continuously, with hand tests recorded against their own dates.

Equipment

Changes are documented, and status is read from the inventory that runs the tank.

Experiments

Repeatable whenever practical, and published whichever way they turn out.

What success looks like

The goal is not to automate every maintenance task or prove one method correct. The goal is to grow a strong Dutch aquascape, understand why it changes, and leave behind a useful record of the process.
