What I've learned
·Keeping safety limits on the controller rather than in the automation layer has proved to be the right split, because the tank keeps running when the software is restarted or broken.
·Outlet state history is a reliable record of when equipment actually ran, and has been used to reconstruct maintenance timing after the fact.
