Why I chose it

A solenoid-equipped regulator was required so CO₂ could be placed under automated control rather than run continuously or switched by hand.

What I've learned

  • Because carbonate hardness is kept at or near zero, the pH/KH table is not usable here, so CO₂ is inferred from the pH drop off the morning degassed baseline instead.
  • Keeping the hard limits on the controller rather than in software means a stuck script cannot over-gas the tank.
