Future Evaluations

How an independent evaluation is run, and what a manufacturer can expect.

Purpose

To set expectations before any equipment changes hands: what will be measured, what will be published, and what is not on offer.

Background

This project measures one aquarium under repeatable conditions. That is a genuine limitation and a genuine strength. It cannot speak for every tank, but it can compare two fixtures under conditions held constant. Acceptance of equipment does not influence the measurements, observations or conclusions published here.

Methodology

  1. The same tank, meter, measurement positions, mounting heights and procedure for anything being compared.
  2. Methodology published alongside the result, including conditions and instrument.
  3. Photographs at matched camera settings where appearance is part of the claim.
  4. Inconclusive results reported as inconclusive.

Observations

Nothing established yet. Observations are added when there is something specific to report, not to fill the section.
